Things to do in Corydon

Hello all... The wife and I are going to be in Corydon, Indiana for a few days renting a cabin on the river. It is planned to be a few days of relaxation and fishing, but I figured I'd see if there was anything else to do in the area should we decide to venture out of the cabin. Any pubs, restaurants or sites that would be interesting to check out while we're there? Let me know... Thanks. Eric

There is the first state capitol building. Battle of Corydon site. Zimmerman Art Glass. Multiple local dinning venues on and around the town square. Some antique shops.
And you could head over the river to see Fort Knox and the Patton museum.

Perfect! I figured you'd have a couple neat ideas... I will definitely check out those places. Guess I didn't realize Fort Knox was that close. Thank you for the tips. Looking forward to a few days of relaxation and new sites.

I'm sure it will be great. Wish I had a little more time to spend, but all the cabins were booked. I have to burn 160 hours before the end of the year... Use it or lose it, so looks like I'll be off damn near the entire month of November! LOL. Thanks for the helpful suggestions. When you Google "things to do in Corydon", the list is a little slim. I knew someone would have some good ideas.

Any pool halls there? Not a bar with a couple of coin op tables, but a real pool hall?

Nothing like that in Corydon. One will have to travel to New Albany, Clarksville, Jeffersonville, and Louisville KY to find one of those. Although, in January, the Horseshoe casino hosts the Derby City Classic billiards event.

Have you ever been to the Derby City Classic? You might find it...err...interesting to watch some of the money matches and the tournament itself. Some of the best cue artists of today will be there...quite a show.

Well, kinda, sorta. I work at the host casino. And I am on the clock when most of the events are being played. Jeanette Lee was at the tournament a couple years ago and got to see her a few times.

Jeanette Lee is far from the top talent as far as women players go...but she sure dresses, err, well.

Jeanette Lee...so great at marketing herself. Ask somebody not into pool to name a famous pool player active today, and her name will top the list. But in skill level? 36 other women in the world are ranked higher. Here's the Fargo rate list...

Just thought of a few others today, even though it is too late. Turtle Run Winery in Lanesville. Squire Boone Caverns. Mega Caverns.
