So Long and Thanks

Another one of these posts I'm afraid.

I've moved on from the Bullitt and into a 2014 Cadillac CTS V-Sport Premium.

I had gotten the car bug in the last month or two and had been shopping around and spending too much time on autotrader.

When I took it in to a few places to see how much I could expect to get for the Bullitt, I got a bit of a shock when I they told me it had been in multiple accidents and had frame repair and lots of body work.

I swear I thought I had checked the carfax when I bought it, but I guess I didn't check it well enough.

That kind of tanked what I was hoping to get, and sealed my decision to sell it before the value dropped even more.

To the future owner of 3635, or anyone who ends up here investigating it for a purchase, don't be put off by the accidents/frame repairs.

I had the car for years and didn't have any issue, or notice any problem with it.

I haven't posted much in the almost 5 years I've been here, but I've gotten tons of good info and advice from reading your posts.

So thanks again and have fun with your Bullitts, my heart hurt when the salesman took the keys and I heard the Bullitt roar for the last time as he drove away.

Enjoy the new ride. Sorry to see you go. Hope you tucked a note about this site in the Bullitt glovebox.

Carfax is garbage. I bought a one owner accident free lease return that had all recalls done and a clean car fax report. After owning the car a week I found out I had an aftermarket replacement windshield and side windows. Then I looked really close and found mis-matched paint and accident damage. Then the car died leaving me on the side of the road twice, from a bad fuel gauge and crank sensor, both recalls that werent done. I filed two seperate suits in small claims court against Infiniti USA and the car dealer. Both settled before the court dates.

Don't drop off the site completely. There are lots of folks here that have sold/traded their Bullitt but still hangs around. While they may no longer have their Bullitt they have owned one and knows it uniqueness.

Who knows, whoever purchases your "old" Bullitt may join looking for information on the car.

What Jack just said.

The PO of my Bullitt left the site after selling the car that was then his. He came back a few years later looking up his old steed, and found me. Great stories, good times and fellow ship ride here. Until then, happy trails!

My name is David J. Midgley. But you doesn't have to call me that. You can call me David. Or you can call me David J. Or you can call me David Midgley. But you doesn't have to call me David J. Midgley....
