Dyno Results for 852 - 100% Stock

Local Performance shop (Piedmont Custom Motorsports (PCM)) held a Dyno Day this weekend. Quite a few vehicles showed up including a couple Bullitts and Bullittheads. 852 was one of the few vehicles that was totally stock so it was a good benchmark for all of the Modded 4.6 Stangs.

In addition to #852, TRUEBLUE3934 (Joe) put his beautiful 01 True Blue on the Dyno and badasbullitt (Stephen) put his new Boss 302 on the Dyno. Both are fantastic cars. NCSt8man1999 (Chris) was on duty but managed to show up for a few minutes. Hopefully he will have his Bullitt next time. Sounds like he has a very well thought out Bullitt. Hope to see it in the future.

Now the results: HP: 274.51 Torque: 295.55

Following is the graph:

I had a fantastic time. As I understand, they are already starting to plan the Spring Dyno day. Anyone within a resonable distance should really consider coming out. Even if you do not dyno, great time hanging with other Mustang people and watching (actually listening more then watching) them run on the Dyno.

93 Octane - 100% gas

Car had about 12,500 miles.

Only mod is a set of side window louvers.

The shop (PCM) did tell me that if I added on of their window stickers, it would add 20 horsepower. I can't beleive they would deceive me with that.

At this time, I have no plans for any performance mods. I had thought about a set of KR axlebacks but after hearing the stock exhaust on the dyno, I don't think I am going to change it. Most likely, I will upgrade the struts and shocks, but it will be more for ride then for performance.

This dyno was just to get the report rather then a baseline. The document will go with the cars paperwork including the Window Sticker, Ford certificate, etc.

But who knows. I have been able to fight the Mod bug so far, but after the dyno day, it is harder and harder to do.

(Just as a side note, since mine is 100% stock, even with the factory tune, it provided a great baseline for all of the other Mustangs to go by.)
