4198 finally dyno'd

After installing the S/C last year, I finally got around to getting a dyno run done. She was able to throw down a 501.4 HP with a max torque of 396.5 ft-lbs. I guess that explains why I can't keep the tires on the ground.

First run was making sure straps were tight, next run was 468 HP but he had it in 3rd gear. Second run in 4th gear was 501 HP. Last run was 496 HP.

Wow, those are some impressive numbers! Any other engine modifications, or just a really good tune?

I believe their machine was probably reading a little high. I would have expected to be in the 470-480 range. I was first on the dyno, my son's Challenger RT was second and showed a little high. 3rd was a friend's VW GTI which broke a strap because they wrapped it around the axle. The GTI came loose and dislodged with the dyno wheel up against the tire which rubbed a big ol chunk out of the tire. Needless to say, his dyno run was on the house and after some name calling, he got a new tire too.

Well I just had the Detroit Rocker cams installed at Brenspeed Dallas. I trust their dyno more than the previous. With the cams it is doing 494.68 rwhp and 443.44 rwtq. That sounds more like it.

Black Bullitt 4198, Saleen Stage 3 supercharger, Detroit Rocker cams, Ford Racing Springs, Brenspeed dyno tune, BMR tubular lower control arms, BBK long tubes, hi-flow catted X pipe, Pypes Violators.
