Cool! Why not bring her down to the Texas Shootout for a shakedown cruise!

Guys, I'm dropping the ball on getting photos posted. All the glass is in the car and the interior is almost completely finished. Once that's done we will finish wiring the fuel injection and fire it up.

I've finally got some updates. I have the car back at my house....Finally! I just added the Hi Po LED lights to the instrument panel. I've been doing a little of the finish wiring. We will be adjusting the fenders, hood, and doors soon. The steering wheel is a custom wheel made by a guy in South Carolina. It's the closest thing I can find to the real deal and this was was under $400.

Here are some additional pics. I haven't put the real wheels and tires on her yet so please excuse the temporary wheels and tires that have been on the car since It was painted. Please excuse the temporary steering wheel as well. I also tried to get pics of the ABS one piece headliner. Excuse all the dust in the pics. it looks horrible, but all of the parts are new, I promise..........just dusty.

I've also decided to set the fuel injection kit aside for now. I'm going with a Holley 600 cfm 4bbl carb. I may sell the Powerjection FI kit.....or I may hang onto it and mess around with it later. Don't know if anyone on here watches Street Outlaws on Discovery, but their shop is literally around the corner from me and I may see if "Big Chief" wants to wire it up and tune it for me in the future.

Im also having the back panel covered in flat black vinyl. It's cheaper than paint and it will look just as good and if I ever get tired of it I can peel it off and put the chrome tail light bezels back on and make it more stock looking. I'm having my 08 deck lid covered in vinyl as well. Sorry for the long delay, but I'm finally getting this project wrapped up.

Looks great Rob! No need to apologize for the all the dust we have all been there. These works of art take time. My Bullitt took 28 years to finely get a paint job. Remember Rome wasn't built in a day.

Just completed the dreaded hole I had to drill for the automatic antenna. I esentially did the same thing Pat and Kurt did on Kurt's car, however, I waited until after the car was painted to decide to do the antenna modification. I hated drilling through that beautiful new paint, but I carefully drilled a 1/8 pilot hole and then used an Irwin Unibit #4 Step Drill Bit 3/16" to 7/8". It actually worked beautifully. I actually alternated drilling from the inside of the trunk and then drilling from the outside on the first few steps to see which one, if any, would cause less chipping. The paint actually chipped very little from either side, but drilling from the outside actually chipped less and made for a finer cut around the edges of the hole. I took pics as I went, but haven't downloaded them yet. I'll post them soon.

I then moved on to the front stone deflector and lower front valance, however, the fenders need a little more tweaking, as does the hood. I'm taking the car back to the body guys at Classic Recreations to tweak the fenders, doors, and hood. They will also finish paint touch up a very limited number of small spots that need it while it is there. I'm told they will need it for about a week, to a week and a half. I'll keep you posted.

Hey Pat (Keepat), not sure if you are seeing this, but I have gone back and read and re-read you and Kurt's thread and it has been a world of help to me. Thank you again for such a great write up and a great thread on Kurt's 68 build. It has been appreciated more than you know!!!!!!!

Added the Scott Drake 3 bulb conversion to the rear tail light buckets then added LED's to the sockets. Hopefully this will greatly improve the brightness of the brake lights and turn signals.
