help?? i am currently building a 5.0L stroker (modular based) for my 01 dhg bullitt(5152) and i want to use the new trick flow twisted wedge heads and track heat intake. is there much of a difference in the trick flow track heat aluminum intake from the stock bullitt intake?? they both appear very similar?? i am setting the car up with a static compression of around 10.5 - 1 and am not gonna be supercharging/turbocharging the engine

I think engine mods and more horsepower is great idea of course. I figured you'll need the suspension and tires to handle it anyway. Just my opinion.Good luck with all of the above..

745....

It all sounds good to me, take your pick. Our Bullitt started out getting 3.73 gears (pinion bearings went out) 3 years ago. since then it has got wheels/tires, stock front and 315/35-17s on 10.5 rims back. Recently it got a SCT programmer and a set of Kooks headers are going to be here next week. I don't regret any of it and I doubt you will either.

Regards

Got the headers on, used it as physical therapy after hernia surgery. Those headers fit really good but they were a real pain to put on. My wife and I went on part of the power tour, that was a blast and we are set to go to the Bullitt Nationals.

Phased Improvement

Starting with a 25,000k bone stock car. Plan
-Saving all original parts in a crate.
=Wheel spacers to make them flush with the fenders.
=battery in trunk
=Starting with a 03 Cobra front bumper cover and engine hood.
=Cobra front bumper cover looks more like illustrations in the concept stage.
=Cobra engine hood is the same configuration as the original car.
=03 Cobra IRS, Steeda enhanced
=Steeda coil over front suspension
=The new V8
those are the basics, anyway

thanks for the welcome and the mod plan comment

Did you sc your 08B ?

Going to Vegas for the bash. So that will pretty take my Mustang trip budget (both $ and time-wise) for the year, so probably won't meet you in MI.

Hopefully some other time!

What To Do

Starting with a strong base, the first thing to do is brace the car. I'm planning to use (pending more investigation) Stiffler's "ultimate" system and shock tower brace (Ford Racing shock tower brace will damage the Bullitt ID badge on the front of the driver's shock tower). Even at 25K on the odometer the body made "creaking" sounds out back whenever the grade is not relatively flat (usually at driveway transitions).

Also, wider tires on the back. I have Goodyear 315's ... improved traction a lot.

Gotta go, cutting this short

Good luck with whatever you choose
