Hi all, I'm in the process of doing a retro shifter conversion in 3064. Right now I have the older style MGW shifter handle and plan to update to the new updated MGW handle and adapt a hurst chrome handle to it. Now growing up with my dad, his old 67 cougar with a 4 spd top loader had shifter handle that would mean a lot to incorporate into my car granted a 5 speed knob exists in the same style. I attached a picture in this post of what it looks like. I currently have a hurst white knob in my car but this one is slightly different. Is this just a classic shift knob that is not reproduced anymore?

Search for Hurst T-Handle Shifter Knob. You can get them with the original 4-speed pattern, or generic ones with the Hurst script.

5 speed pattern? Hmmmm. It would take some adaptation work, since Porsche knobs aren't threaded, use a push on gasket. Maybe fill the hole with something like JB weld and tap? Anyway, it would be different with the same 5 speed pattern atop the knob under clear plastic.

(edit) I'm referring to the "Dansk" brand knob pictured...I shifted with a factory original knob like this for over 30 years. Very comfortable in the hand.

Pelican Parts - European Automotive Parts and Accessories - Porsche • BMW • Mercedes • Volkswagen • Audi • Saab • Volvo • MINI

(another edit) Probably a lot easier to use one of these:
