Good idea to start a new thread with a New Year
It warmed up to minus 12 from minus 28 and now s*** is falling ... again.
We all need some warmer weather soon.

Checked up on my Bullitt yesterday. It sits under its car cover in the neighbour's heated garage. Good winter therapy!
Would have taken it out for a spin, but might have not made it back up the hill into the garage.

Talking It's Warming Up

Hey, Ken,
Still white here, but there is a pineapple express coming in soon to the coast, so we may be seeing a lot more green soon. Bullitt is warm and dry in the garage under its cover. Gave the battery a charge last week and it seems to be keeping a charge well. Not bad after 7.5 years! (Disconnected the negative cable for the winter as I've heard the draw from the factory alarm can run it down). Managed to do all the holiday driving without incident. Drove home last Monday from Nanaimo in a blizzard and spun out sister-in-law's van on black ice on the highway near Ladysmith, but managed to keep it between the snowbanks. This freeze-thaw cycle we've been having has made evening and morning driving treacherous to say the least.

New West Bullitt

Greetings from New Westminster by a refugee from the prairies.

And I thought it didn't snow here on the Wet Coast. In fact, a little rain will be very welcome over the next few days to take away the snow.

The Black Bullit is safe and dry in it's stall. Maybe if the rain washes away the salt and we see a bit of sun again it will be time to give Bullit some exercise.

Rick,

No, I've lived here for three years now and this is the first time snow has been a major issue over a significant time interval. However, a major consolation is that my brother who lives in Biggar just outside Saskatoon experienced a low of -41C last night (which is about equal to -41F for the USA) and approached -50C with wind chill. So, snow and all, the lower mainland is a huge improvement.

Sorry Grant, I too am an import, but from Ontario a little over 2 years ago. I think I was complaining more than the people that lived here all or most of their lives. According to most people, this happens about every 10 years. I never thought I would here me say, "I hope it rains".

Rick, what part of Ontariario to you hail from? I moved west in '89 from Etobicoke in west end of TO to Victoria.

Owen Sound, the southern part of Georgian Bay. About 200km northwest of Toronto. I have lived from coast to coast. My father was in the military and I joined for a while as well. I got to see our beautiful country

DHG 01 #1396 has been relocated to Victoria. Are there many Bullittheads in Victoria? I see there are a few in the Comox valley.
