HoonDog Events, Inc.:
For the past decade, we have organized Bullitt events as a group of individual volunteers. We did so at our own personal time and expense, and, at personal risk in today’s litigious world operating without any type of liability protection. As such, as we looked to our second decade it was time to address the growth of Bullitt events within the context of a formal, and protected, organization. As organizers of the majority of the past decades events, Kurt Andersson, Greg Autry, Paul Rocha and Charles Jones brought our collective experience together and formally incorporated on December 8, 2011 as HoonDog Events, Inc., a non-profit corporation. We are currently filing as a 501/3/c, where, if granted status, will equate to opportunities such as providing tax deductable status to event participant fees. It is our intent and goal to support and organize all future Bullitt oriented events to insure continued fellowship among Bullitt owners (past and present), and, continued promotion of our cars. But, as something entirely new, we are introducing the concept of organizing as charitable events in support of a singular Bullitt family focal charity, namely Boys Republic.
We are proud to introduce this concept with our Legend Lives Tour 2012, as we partner with the Friends of Steve McQueen to make their 2012 Bullitt themed show a truly once in a lifetime Bullitt event in support of Boys Republic. Please watch for more details as they are announced!
Boys Republic:
Boys Republic is a private, nonprofit, nonsectarian school and treatment community for troubled youngsters. Since its founding in 1907, it has guided more than 28,000 at-risk teenage boys and girls toward productive, fulfilling lives.
On its central school and farm in Chino Hills, California, and in residential and day treatment centers in other communities, Boys Republic and its companion program, Girls Republic, help children in desperate need find within themselves the resources and skills to begin meaningful lives on their own.
Boys Republic seeks to give adolescent youth with behavioral, educational, and emotional difficulties an opportunity to achieve their maximum potential for responsible, self-directed life within the community.

Why the connection between our Bullitt family and Boys Republic?
As our cars namesake, Steve McQueen is an integral part of the Bullitt heritage. As a Hollywood actor, Steve’s persona became legendary as the iconic cool tough guy. Steve also happened to be a student at Boys Republic in his youth. Boys Republic philosophy is to teach self reliance, and as such, can point to Steve McQueen as one of their success stories. The McQueen Foundation, through Steve’s son Chad, continues to support Boys Republic in Steve’s honor. We have made it HoonDog Events Inc. charter to also support Boys Republic as THE Bullitt Family charity in continued honor of Steve McQueen.
We look forward to bringing you quality Bullitt events in 2012 and into our second decade of legendary parking lot parties!
Please contact any of the HoonDog Directors if you have any questions/comments or are interested in assisting in any way.
