Ford has a habit of this.....cost me $750 on my 2001 BULLITT to fix the 1-2 grind....Ford did pay half ($750) after I wrote to Bill Ford.
It was a TSB.....Sure....should have been a recall!

The Fiesta/Focus problem was known from day one. They are a jerky, little transmission.

In my defense, I was left unsupervised.

Somewhere around 2015 Ford made some revisions and the later ones are probably fine. We have a 2016 Fiesta that we knock around in and the tranny is still great after about 50K miles.

Co-Worker got stuck in the parking lot the other night due to this issue in his Focus. His Father who has his own mechanic shop had to drive an hour to tow his car back and fix the issue.

Daughter is starting to have transmission issues with her Ranger pick-up. It only has around 320,000 miles and only "occasionally" used offroad . I think Ford should fix it.
