Coming over soon - stock up on parts?

Am planning a trip to the US soon and was thinking of ‘stocking up’ on a few bits for the car. Other than the usual filters etc is there anything else that I could get. Car is a 2008 V8 with 26k on the clock. Recently had the belt and plugs done. Only asking as it failed MOT with worn out front lower control arms - just age related. So I understand I can’t predict whats gonna go next but I thought there might be some common parts?
Thanks for your time
Pete

Question

Hi Pete,

Just curious, did the window motor reset procedure fix your power window problem?

If you have a way to get the GT500 lower front control arms, and can get those back, that would be a benefit. Those might be too unwieldy to get on a plane Do you have a source for brake pads? How's the emblem on the trunk looking - any fading? How about the Bullitt sill plates - any peeling of the clearcoat?

These are just a few things I had happen on my '09.

In my defense, I was left unsupervised.

Sorry for late reply, I haven't tried yet as it seems to have sorted itself out (at least temporarily !!)

I do have a copy of it in garage though!

I have recently changed the front lower control arms - the rubber had perished!! Brakes pads is a good shout, will check emblem.

Also what about the hand brake cable - i remember reading about it years ago, that it can go - anyone experienced that?
