Big Decision

I’ve had 0120 since the day she appeared on the showroom floor. She has 1,980 miles on her (that’s right 2k) and had never seen snow or rain. Garage queen YES... But absolutely enjoyed. Anyway I’m thinking of letting someone else enjoy this new car. My question is what can I get for this beautiful specimen of a Bullitt? Thanks.

I'd offer $200. But that's just me. In the real world, I'd be shocked if you could get $25,000 for it...with miles that low, there could be problems with dried out seals, etc. Anyway, $25K would be a good asking price. Sadly for you, Bullitt Mustangs did not turn out to be the sought after collectors item many who bought them thought they would be.

They are, however, well balanced drivers that do nothing in a spectacular manner while doing everything well. My advice to you would be to consider taking it to a good mechanic who could check everything out, replacing fluids, belts and hoses as needed. I'd also replace the old unsafe dated tires with a set of new good tires like Michelin pilot all season or Continental DWS's....then drive your money out of it.

Good luck to you...

How can anyone fully enjoy a cool vehicle if it is not driven? Cars are like aircraft... if they are not used fairly regularly, they become very unhappy.

Garage
I'd take it to Mecum auction in Kissimmee Florida in January 2020 the day that 559 is sold and see what the hype brings.

I think you can get $30K with the mileage being as low as it is

Never thought of that particular auction...yeah, that might work well.

$30K might be a stretch, considering I wrote a check for $30,075 for mine new...that was licensed, titled, out the door. But if a couple of tall dogs get into a match of seeing who can pee highest up a lamppost, $30K might happen. Today, 30,000 problem free miles later, I can say my '09 been a pretty good car. It's survived the 10 years much better than my body has. Snapped a tendon in my foot...now my ankle is wonky, making for tough clutch work. Thinking of going a new GT with the 10 speed auto, but I HATE the star trek electronic features of the new ones. So, still kicking ideas around...

I concur with Palerider's response. Take it to Mecum in January and let the hype help you sell it. I also keep my BULLITT like yours, garage kept, no rain or snow, only sees sun & stars! Good luck!
