Hello all,
I just purchased a wrecked Bullitt, Highland Green 2008 #3973, and am about to start the rebuild on it. I wanted to stop by and say hi. I also had a question. Is there any difference in the Bullitt front bumper from a GT front bumper? From what I’m seeing there isn’t, but before I make a purchase I just wanted to check. Thanks everyone in advance.

Body shops have a way of cross referencing...but far as I know, same hood. This just from eyeballing other cars, so don't take it as gospel.

I just realized I put hood, but I meant to type bumper. Haha, sorry about that.

Pretty sure all '08 Bumpers were the same. Not so sure about the '08 bumper covers, tho...the plastic part that covers the actual bumper. My eyeball guess is that the bumper cover is the same as used on the base Mustang...

Have you checked with American Muscle? They offer various bumper covers in pre painted colors.

Front and rear bumpers are standard GT Mustang parts, the grille is different, it has a chrome trim ring and fog light delete, also the front fenders do not have the holes for locating the GT badges.
I have a friend that repairs OEM bumper covers in the southeast, they will save you alot of cash and are better quality than aftermarket bumper covers (the repairs are only seen on the inside of the bumper cover), where are you located?

I’m in the Fort Worth area. I definitely don’t want aftermarket.

I appreciate it! I’m going to try my hand at this. I have good mechanical skills, but it’s going to require a quarter panel replacement. I think the only thing I’m going to have done for me is the paint. But who knows, I may just decide to give it a go myself. I believe in doing things yourself and learning from your own mistakes.

I'll get you a price tomorrow and I'll have him try to give you an approximate shipping price. Which quarter panel do you need?

Talked to my friend at Southeast Bumpers this morning, OEM Ford GT repaired bumper delivered to the Fort Worth area approximately $325.00 +/- ($200.00 for the bumper plus actual shipping). The box is huge but it isn't heavy, being oversized increases the shipping cost.

I bought a set of 2008 Shelby 350 / California Special bumper covers from them and they look perfect.

That’s a pretty good price. I will send you a message when I’m ready to purchase. I have to focus on this rear quarter first, then I can purchase the bumper. Thank you for pricing that for me.
