The steering wheel

Hi everyone It's been awhile since I have posted. My question is this ... Is the steering wheel a 67 Shelby leather wrapped wheel or some other kind ?

It is a Secura steering wheel, they were used on the 67 Shelbys. Unfortunately they are rare and expensive.
If I recall correctly, on Dave Kunz's replica he used a steering wheel for a VW with the help of an adapter. It was very close in appearence.

Check this link for more details.

Here is one solution. https://www.imboc.com/forums/showpost...0&postcount=57 Pat has done an outstanding job. Brad is correct. There was a short run of repoductions but they have been discontinued. Expect to pay north of $1500 if you can find an orignal one in any condition. I would go with Pat's idea. It has the spirit of the movie car without the high price tag.

Thanks Brad Thanks Greg for the links. I do have a leather wrapped wheel, with the exception of a rather large horn button it looks good enough for me. My replica project is nearly done. Next week (if everything goes as planned) it will be time to install the interior.

After that I am sure I'll find something else that needs to done I'll post up when it's photo ready

Til Next time ....Keep the rubber side down and stay off the sidewalks
