Very nice! That's neat that you were able to start with a car that's nearly identical to the original. I've always wanted a dark green '68 390 4-speed car, whether it be a Mustang or Cougar. Enjoy it!

OK, now I'm really jealous I don't go to a lot of other sites regularly, but I'll keep an eye out for you. My Cougar activity has been pretty low for a while. It's been sitting with a bad clutch (among other things) for a while now. I had hopes of getting it going again this year, but it seems like time is going faster than I thought it would. Part of the reason I bought the Bullitt is because my '68 is an R code. Unfortunately it's only the paint code and not the engine code (that's a "C"). Oh well, at least it's a nice color.

Congrats on getting her done. The car looks perfect! Still working on mine. I've been saying that since 2009.

Im right there with ya. Getting SO close. Still, its daunting with all that needs to be done.

I would like to see more pictures of this car. Sounds like we are twins as mine is a 68 s code factory 4 speed w/ highland green as well.\

* just saw the link to the pics on the fb page. Nice!

I also located the correct outside mirror but opted not to install it. Look for the car at some local Mustang shows as well as Goodguys in Puyallup. I have a few photos posted on my Facebook page if you are interested in seeing them but here is one.
