Question 08/09 differences

what was the change in the intakes that they did for 09? also the factory tune had a tweak?

In 2008 the"charge motion control valves" were a separate plate on each side of the intake, and removable. In 2009 the CMCV's were integrated into the intake manifold and a slight tune change helped the mid range power, total horsepower remained the same.
Some people remove the CMCV's, replace them with spacers, and retune for top end power, with a loss in the bottom end. (No free lunch)
On the 2009's you would have to upgrade to the FP intake to eliminate the CMCV variable intake effect.

Visually, the oil fill on the '08 has a riser tube on the valve cover, on the '09, no tube.

I was making too much of a mess adding oil, so I bought the '08 riser tube for my '09.

It screws on just like the cap.
