It's not about...

To me it's not about how fast the car will go. It's about how cool it is and it's overall condition. I am really thrilled to be getting a pristine 2001. Of all the new cars I have had over the years (There have been more than I can count) My 2001 Bullitt #60 was absolutely my favorite driver. I don't know what became of #60. I don't think it ever showed up here in the registry but I finally have a 2001 purchased that I believe I will enjoy tremendously. Thank you all for being the valuable resource that you are. I am so glad this Forum still exists after all this time. It's a pleasure to know that an organization has my back so to speak if I have ever have a problem or just want to share with the group.

Teddy, I for one am glad you are back! My 2001 B #344 only has about 32,000 miles on it. I don't get out much. My husband passed 4 months ago and he was so excited for spring to come so he could "drive the hell out of the B!" He didn't make it past January as his lungs gave out with COPD. But between the B and my 69 I plan on getting out there some this summer if our County ever lets us out. Have fun with #201!

Teddy, you may want to go to your profile and change the "Bullitt Year" and the ID# of your Bullitt. It say DHG 201 for your number in your avatar.

What is the number of your Bullitt?

My sincere condolences...

I'm really sorry for your loss Vicki. I know you and your late husband we're a big part of the glue that holds this organization together. You both like me were here at the start when we were waiting for our cars to arrive. I still remember the excitement as we all got our Bullitt's and were able to write about our first experiences. I'm sure your husband is cruising in that great highway in the sky.

I will be checking in often as I attempt to enjoy a Bullitt that has been mostly stored during it's lifetime. I will be driving the car on nice, sunny days.
We will stay in touch and maybe I will see you at a future show. In 2001 I was 40. I'm 59 now. Time flies. Let's have fun! Life is precious and sometimes I need to remind myself to live for today and enjoy the day!

I really appreciate this thread and all of the BULLITT members on IMBOC, especially with what has been going on around the world and locally. The recent events in Minneapolis have really brought me down today. Why can't people protest peacefully without crime and destruction. I am so glad that every member here seems to be a decent human being. I'm going back out to the garage to do a little more work on the B and escape the madness for a little while...

Teddy, glad you found another one to re-join the clan. They were the originals!
