67 Mustang Spark issue

My dad just put his new engine in his 67 fastback. He has one of these high speed distributers with the coil in the cap. The dirctions just say plug and play. The car will turn over but he has no spark at all. Can anyone point me in the right direction to try to fix this.

There is no easy way but to go over all the connections and make sure you have 12volts and a ground were they need to be. Is it a magneto?

Don't take it personal.
On the show Overhauling on TV they forgot to put the rotor in on one of the builds they did.
Also could be a bad part out of the box. Does the OEM have a help line to call, maybe they have OHM readings to check for opens or shorts on the primary power input and the coil windings.

If you have key on 12V source at the input and good ground the new part is probly bad....

Are you required to use a ballist reisitor? I have seen those shorted to ground.

Go over each step in the instruction manual again... Call the help # on the directions

Orginal Owner.. I had to loan 1007 to Forte2 mom for couple years
