We get a better deal buying a Mustang from Japan than from America and they are closer to our UK spec
so why dosent F*rd make a more Global product to start with? They just don't care about Europe.....

Actually Bob, I agree as well as disagree with you.

I agree in the sense of wonder why Ford doesn't make a wholistic global product.

I disagree with you on Ford not caring about Europe, because I complain in the same way from the opposite perspective...why doesn't Ford of England (Europe) care about America? Case in point, they have, today, a high tech diesel getting 40/50+ mpg.
WHO FREAKIN NEEDS A HYBRID???? A hybrid with batteries is environmentally costly, whereas an efficient diesel would go a LONG way to reducing oil dependence WITHOUT creating the need to alter/change/add to existing infrastructure. Yet they won't import it...cuz stupid Americans have an ignorant phobia about diesels.
But I bet if they brought it over...it would be sold! Go figure. Rant over.

Smart Car is a perfect example of that. They're everywhere in downtown Toronto and I see quite a few on the highways driving at 70 mph

I have yet to see a Prius driven in an eco-friendly manner...nevermind the glorified golfcart.

My name is David J. Midgley. But you doesn't have to call me that. You can call me David. Or you can call me David J. Or you can call me David Midgley. But you doesn't have to call me David J. Midgley....

I have had 3 Smart cars. Most will hold at least 80mph and my Roadster was faster
and one of the first 12 in the UK, the Brabus will pull a 100mph
