Production Date Change Over

Good evening to all. I hope everyone has had a pleasant holiday season.

Can someone tell me what the last date of production for the 2008 Bullitts and/or the first date of production of the 2009 Bullitts?

Thanks!

I recall the two PP cars for 09 had build dates in April 2008. Wouldn't be surprised if they turned on 09s within a month or so.

I replied to this same question 3 years ago. I looked up my old response: " I am 100% sure that my local dealer got 4 Bullitts in at once, two were '08's and two were '09's. The date on the bottom of the window stickers of the '08's was 5/7/2008 and on the '09's it was 5/21/2008".
I don't know for sure if those were the last and first days of the model years but it's very close.

Thanks for the information. I have an 2009 that on my certificate states the vehicle was built on 5/30/2008. On the bottom of the window sticker, it has a date of 5/22/2008. I know that there is a dfifference betweeen the date that the vehicle is serialized as part of the prodiuction schedule and the actual production date.

I know mine must be close to the change over period since my 2009 has a strut tower brace for a 2008.

Thanks again for all the information

Your strut tower brace says 2008 and your car is a 2009?

Glad you cleared that up. I was thinking he was saying there were two different braces used.

#5998 was built on 6/12/08, looks like the switch was in May.

The braces are the same except that the year is stamped vertically in front of the VIN number. My vehicle is a 2009....the VIN is a 2009....the brace has the "2008" stamped vertically in front of the VIN number. Take a look at your brace........

Got it. so your car was given the wrong year Bullitt ID plate. Misunderstood what you posted. Thought iyou had a different type of brace.

Yep...... That's what made me start to think that mine may have been built close to the change over period.......

It's kinda cool.....one of those "production irregularities" that makes it a little bit unique...... add that to the fact that it is one of the few 2009 and one of the fewer black and this car is priceless........

I also have this really neat bridge for sale if anyone is interested!

Thanks for all the great feed back .....
