Cool My First Ride in a 2019 BULLITT

A friend of mine and his son came by today to show me the new 2019 BULLITT he picked up yesterday. It's HG and #7166. It has the Electronics Package and Magnetic Ride Control.

I pulled my 2009 HG #6498 out of the garage and we took some time to go over the differences and take some pictures.

Although he offered to let me drive the new "B", I was happy to be a passenger. We took a short trip around the area. All I can say is "WOW"......what a car. The exhaust is great, and it pulls hard...…...just like my 2010 Shelby did.

I was really impressed that FORD still makes a car that has creature comfort and is "GEEZER" friendly. The car had the standard seats...…..very comfortable.

The new "B" is a unbelievable!

I had a great day today!

. I’ve sat in a black 2019 last Oct in a Ford showroom in Mt Juliet Tenn but I'm afraid to drive or ride in one for fear of getting bit by the “ownership bug”!!!!

Each generation is a hoot for varying reasons. I really appreciate the new one's stock exhaust sound, especially coming from a '15 Mustang GT. Having a distinct sound is part of the Bullitt allure for me. Let us know when you buy one You too, FarmerDon!

Tony,

You are correct! Every BULLITT improves and the latest edition is unbelievable. I really likes the looks of my 2009 but the 2019 is really a "SUPER CAR" compared to the other "B's" that I've had.
Will I buy a new one...………….maybe...……when I get the $30K difference in the mail.
Enjoy that new BULLITT! We aren't getting any younger...……...

Still looking...……

No need and no want. Guess I'm just weird.

When one passes, I can say..there goes a guy who USED to have money...

(edit) Just spent the afternoon cleaning and waxing and generally making the old, slow, and obsolete '09 shine like new. Why would I want a '19?

If you don’t have to hitch the horse(s) to the front of it, it’s not obsolete!

Come on, Man!

You're car is awesome. The new one is awesome. NONE of us, if we were being totally financially responsible, would buy one of these cars. There are new fans of the Bullitt Mustang precisely because of the '19. I especially see it outside of North America.

Any one of us who appreciates whatever model we have, in my opinion, can appreciate there is enthusiasm by others for the ones we don't.

Bottom line is that we are fortunate to have choice, and even if we don't make the same Bullitt model choice, each of them has a virtue or we wouldn't have spent money on them.

Motor on!

ARMY TC, should you choose to buy a '19, don't replace your '08

Here’s the deal regarding Want and Need. Nobody ever needed a Bullitt but most on this site have managed to pull the trigger for the one that was right for them. Maybe that was a new one or maybe it’s was a used Bullitt. You do what makes you happy!

We certainly shouldn’t pass judgment on anyone for deciding to buy whatever they did.

By all means, buy what you want. As for me? I'm going to drive my money out of the '09. Didn't think I was "passing judgement" on anyone. Sorry if you thought so.

PWD72s is always honest! Everyone's situation is different.

At our age (70's), everyday is a luxury, an opportunity to be above the grass.

My good friend always says...…."THOSE WHO DIE WITH THE MOST TOYS WINS"!

Do what makes you happy!

Be careful out there...….

As I posted on anther thread, I consider my 08 PAID FOR. It has been taken on the cross country Legends Live (RT66) trip and the following weekend was at Carolina Beach. So within a couple weeks, it went coast to coast. In addition, it has been to several Bullitt Nationals including Savannah and Panama City Beach. Also made the "Trail of the Dragon" and most recently in Carlisle.

Even with only 38,000 miles on it, due to all the enjoyment we (my wife and myself) have gotten from the car, it is paid for. If I were to get a 19 (which is unlikely), I would do the same thing. Enjoy it for what it is meant for. Driving. (Darn, I sure which I had realized this when I was much younger!)
