What can I get for my 2019

Well, 6 months and 7000 miles in, I am tired of shifting already. I paid the $52K MSRP price for my Bullitt so what can I sell it for now?

Kelly Blue book trade in range is $40,000-$43,000. Private sale maybe you get $45,000?

In my defense, I was left unsupervised.

Wow lose 10K after only six months? So much for buying a collectors item.

Someone on this site bought a new one in May for $46,300. The first two year's depreciation are killer, like 30% off list.

Consumer reports considers any car retaining 50% of sticker after five years a low depreciation vehicle. So far, Bullitt Mustangs of 2001 and 2008-09 have been "low depreciation" vehicles.

Salemen LOVE saying a "special edition" of a common car is going to be a sure fire collectable. This is seldom true, and simply not true in the case of the Bullitt Mustang. At least, not yet. Nobody has a crystal ball, so maybe in 30 years? Could be...but the truth is that cars are mostly lousy investments.

Sorry to to sound harsh, but if you bought it as a collectors item why have you put 7000 miles on it in 6 months and now selling it? I'm sure you know new cars depreciate, and given they have made over 8000 pf the 2019's any owner knows they aren't 'rare'. You;ve had a lot of enjoyment out of it I presume, so consider that $1.50 a mile, which seems pretty cheap

Sadly, now is probably the worst time to sell, because as other posters have said, you can buy discounted new '19's for the mid $40's now. I'd pay $3k more for a brand new one, than one with 7k miles on it.

But to cheer you up a bit....think of how much the buyer of a new Porsche loses the moment he leaves the lot. We're still in the cheap seats, relatively speaking.

Take it to CarMax and see what they'll offer - likely $38K'ish. Add a 2-3 thou for a private sale. It would bring more in Montana, as mine is one of 2 in the State... and the local dealers indicate they'd pad it with $5K ADM... if they had one to hawk.

18 years and 39,000 miles in, my 2001 Bullitt is probably worth 7-9k. Still not a hot collector's item...
