good luck on your search. The biggest difference between the seats is with the Recaro you loose some of the power features as will as the heating and cooling options of the stock seats. If you drive the car mostly on the road, go with the stock seats. If you track the car the Recaro may be the best option. Also if you, like some of use, are larger in size the Recaros may not fit well.
They'll run on 87 Octane, but you lose about 15-20 HP compared to 93 octane. The computer just dials back the timing and injection as soon as the knock sensors detect detonation.
Rather interesting that K4129 which is a $51,880 MSRP car at best (if it has the cover) has been bid up on eBay so far to $51,760. Crazy how people think they are getting a bargain on eBay when with 6 days left the car is only $100 under MSRP!
When they came out and I was considering if I could stretch to new, I had Magnaride and Recaro's as a minimum but now I'm looking at buying most likely used or a very late new car that's been sitting on the lot for a while, I'll end up getting a fully loaded model.
I've been watching the used Bullitt market; add a couple thousand miles to them and advertised prices are dropping into the $42-43g range already. I figure another year or so, once the novelty has worn off, and they'll easily be into the mid-high $30's, my neck of the woods.
You have to be careful. At the moment I wouldnt touch one with a couple of thousand on it until they were in the high $30's. The reason being the chepest new one I have seen now is around $42k, and a poster on Facebook bought a fully loaded one ($53k msrp) that the dealer just wanted off the lot for $44k, with 12 miles on it! I agree with you that the used ones will be into the mid 30's by next year, but with over 1000 NEW 2019's still unsold, I'd hold out for a few more $ and get a brand new one.
But like you. I'm looking to pounce next yr or 2021 at the latest.

Dealers around here have been discounting their new ones pretty heavily too. Shop around.
