Next up for the BULLITT... a new Shifter Knob should look sweet with 5Star console as well!! New E-Brake handle.. Alcantara and Green Stitching boot and e-Brake too!!
Thanks for the quick reply! For install, is it just a simple unscrewing of the current shift knob and screwing new one on, or do you have to mess with that silver piece that we lift up to engage into reverse?
The installation was very easy: just unscrew the shift knob, then screw on the new knob. The one thing that I wish could be different is that there is no positive stop on the new knob; the instructions call for using LocTite to secure the knob. I used (a lot more than I normally would use) blue LocTite applied to the threads in the knob, then installed the knob making sure that I could lift the reverse lockout while still aligning the wording on the knob. The knob feels solid, but I wish that I could install it until it was tight.
Very good info. Ordering now. I hate to get ride of the white shift knob, but that green with your Bullitt number looks amazing! Thanks for your help. Drive safe!
