It is a good blue, maybe a little dark for me. But not unlike the True Blue in any sense, very much a throw back to your Bullitt. It is sharp!

As for letting go, I do understand. If only I had the money, I'd have a TB in my driveway. As it is, I have two trucks and one Mustang too many for my own good. For the record, I have gone from 7 cars and trucks down to 5...but am reluctant to thin things out any further.

I am sure the seat will soften up with usage, but I am not a fan of the newer seating in any of Ford's products. But that's what focus groups say they would like, so I must be in the minority. Not that I am looking to buy another. I did drive the LLT II with the new 2019 Bullitts last summer. I did not get to drive one, but did sit in one and was allowed to start it and play with the dashboard toys. It's a nice package, but out of my wallet money would be way too many dollars. I am not going there. I shall continue to enjoy my 01, which imho is much better for driver tactile performance. Even though the numbers say the new Bullitt will blow the 01 into the weeds.

Just saw this. Sorry for your bad luck, Steve. That's a hail of a thing to happen. Oh, and go ahead and enjoy the Camaro. We won't tell.

Hmmmm. I was told it's the dimples on a golf ball that make it fly further than a perfectly smooth ball would.

So...I wonder...

I doubt my severely dimpled 2017 Mustang is flying very fast. I'm sure it is in a salvage yard.

I'm still trying to get used to my new Ecoboost Mustang. I should love it, but...

I see Ecoboost S550's frequently at SCCA autocross events. Still really cognitively dissonant to see a Mustang driven in anger that... isn't making any noise?

Pretty impressive agility out of those cars, though. I'd like to drive one sometime.

Well, the V6 is lighter... and it doesn't have a true performance exhaust to make the noise, does it?

Ecoboost is the 4-cylinder. And even if it did have a performance exhaust, it would still sound like a Focus - which is great (I love the noise my Focus ST makes), but weird when it comes from a Mustang. Takes a little getting used to! But you sure can't argue with the performance. It's a good recipe.

Well, just had the same thing happen to Wifey's 2010. Large hail storm that hit while she was at work damaging many vehicles. Also there was a tornado reported in the area. Windshield busted and many very large dents. Insurance replace the windshield immediately (the next day). Just met with insurance adjuster and he was willing to work it out any way we wanted. Car is considered totaled but we can buy back for $1300. End of the day, we get a nice check and sill keep the car (with lots of dents and a salvage title). Next week, I will start pulling out the dents, one at a time. May take all year but what's the hurry. Car still makes a perfect daily driver. I could use a part of the settlement to have body shop remove most of the dents, but at this point, it is considered a salvage vehicle so why send the money. I will see what I can do. It is already totaled so, I can't make it any worse.

Haven't decided if we will get a replacement vehicle of not. We already have several others so it not necessary.

With an FP exhaust and tune you can get 350 Hp out of those ecoboost engines. They are nimble.

OP; Sorry to hear about your hailstorm woes, but glad to see you're into a sweet new ride. We had a bad storm hit 2-yrs ago; took damage to house (roof & gutters), son's 2011 Kia Forte & daughter's 2015 Kia Soul. Took awhile to get everything fixed (roof & gutters last summer), but it's all insurance negotiation. Ended up using one of those traveling hail/dent repair shops and they actually did a fantastic job om both cars. Plus, "0" out-of-pocket (repaired f/cost of insurance est.). Also, local roof/gutter co., did same (only charged what insurance paid). Guess my advice is to shop around and get a few estimates...work w/the ones that are looking out for your pocketbook. Good luck & enjoy that nice 'stang!

When we lived in Omaha, we had a couple bad hail storms and had a couple roofs replaces as a result. Also PDR on cars. One storm was real bad and had to get new roof, gutters and downspouts, fence repair, and some windows replaced (the hail broke the windows and soaked the inside of the rooms from the wind and rain.

We got the work done here from a guy that has done work for us before here in Texas. He took pretty good care of us. The house is all fixed up now and looking good again.

Thanks for all the positive comments!
