Now that is the kind of neighbors that I like to have.

When my neighbor (across the street) starts working on his 1200hp 67 Pro-Street Camaro, several neighbors show up to "help". In the "uppity" neighborhoods with those McMansions and postage stamp lots, people would call the cops because of the noise. Here, yep the cops show up to join the party and check out the cars.

Just an AK-47 with a mounted scope and folding bipod. No biggie.

Ballistics say the AK47 round has about the same accuracy and ft. lbs. of energy as my old lever action Winchester 30-30. The 7mm Reminton Magnum round my Elk hunting rifle uses makes either seem like a pop gun. Yet, those "black" rifles seem to scare the krap out of those unfamiliar with firearms.

(edit) All that said, I'd still recommend a good ol' 12 gauge pump with an 18" barrel as a primary home defense arm. Different tools for different jobs.

Well, it's those "tumbling bullets" from those "black guns" that are the problem. That little .223 round will tear you a new a-hole!

Shotguns? Pearl's been there and done that too...

Isn't the AK-47 round more like a .306, and the M-16 a .223?

M-16 uses a .223...and AK47 uses a .30. "Tumbling bullets" a misnomer...the could "tumble", but only after striking bone. I forget the actual barrel twist number of the early M-16, maybe 1 in 12? Still enough to make the bullet spiral and fly straight...

Yes, you're right. My mind was back in the rice paddies again. FLASHBACK!

The Commie gun is: 7.62 x 39-mm (or, in human talk, .30-caliber).

Thank you and have a nice day. But always remember...

I searched and searched my purse for the keys and ended up rushing out to the lot to see if my car was still there as I was sure I left the keys in the ignition, as I was distracted.

Sure enough, I did. My car has a toggle switch on the outside and just under the hood chrome so I am always sure to switch that when I park somewhere so no one can steal it.

The Mustang was still sitting there just like I had left it, keys in the ignition and all the windows rolled down. WHEW!!

Very lucky! But now a days the old kill switch thing isn't likely to keep your car from getting stolen since thieves are just pulling up with flat beds and hauling your car away. Be careful out there, it's a jungle!!!!
