LeGrand Bullitt74 I went through that about 4 years ago, when my wife called me and said that there was steam coming out from under the hood (and of course, the anti freeze smell...)
Had a friend who made a copper tee at his work (that night!!), matching the plastic tee nipple diameters, and silver soldered the small tube onto it.
It's still working, even after Ford couldn't find a replacement for it..... (when we got the last "Bullitt" spec engine in Ford's inventory....)

If you can still get your Bullitt heater hoses (toand from the firewall), do it now. They're not available in California any more.

Know that there's quite a few parts unique to the 2001 Bullitt, that Ford is no longer producing.

I'm currently looking for the right front "mud flap" that got popped off last year.

Let me know if you find anything...

Brass T Fitting!

I experienced this issue with #4968 last weekend. I was frustrated to find that the heater hose assembly was discontined by Ford. I ended up buying the HELP! part 47112 and it worked. I had to dig out all of the broken plastic from all three hoses...what a pain! My car is has low miles and is only a show car at this point. I am going to replace the (new) plastic T with a new brass assembly I bought. I wanted to share the part numbers for future reference!

MIDLAND METAL brand
you will need:

(1) 3/8" Brass Branch Tee part #28-283
(1) 3/8" x 3/8" Female Hose Barb #32-059
(2) 3/4" x 3/8" Male Bare Brass #32-306

fresh Lol it seems like every other person having this bs problem is down here in tx..I had no luck anywhere locating a tee with the correct dimensions. Oreillys and autozone both had universal tees but only 3/4" all around, none with any different sized ends..went to ford cuz I heard "dealer item" everywhere..discontinued as everybody else found out..but I suggested maybe another vehicle had a similar part with matching dimensions..and the guy pulls up that a '98 f250 had a part that would fit, so he orders it..before the part arrives (special order) I get in a wreck where my car must be towed..I get the bullitt back a couple weeks ago and decide to take off the rigged piece I had temporarily on there to install the f250 one which btw was metal..only to find that the two opposing sides of the T are small enough to fit inside the hoses..but I ordered one from a link above..fingers crossed..sick of driving the girlfriends corolla!!

VIC-TIM I do also...keep one in the trunk even though I already replaced mine.

FDWheelMan I know this thread, and grouping of threads is old... And it will rise from the dead...

However...

The part #47112 is availible for Order through Advance Auto Parts. I can get them all day long for $2.98.

I say this because:

1. I work for Advance, and I got thinking about it, so I looked it up and bought 2.
2. I know we match anyone's prices as best we can... If you paid more than $2.98, you've paid too much.

47112 is the right part #, and 3687 now has one riding in her trunk...

yup, 'dat's me
I got your message on that other site this morning and I think I know what your looking for and the part # is 387519-S100 but is discontinued from Ford, I have another part comming in todays stock order and I'll let you know what it looks like and if it'll work in place of the above part #, or as stated above by others, you can get these unequal T's in most parts stores....

ok, here's another one that may work, Ford part # 389278-S although the small nipple is a little larger, closer to 3/8" OD but wth a 1/4" ID

VIC-TIM i bought several of them just in case.

McSt3v3 I also bought the "HELP!" Tee from O'Reilys. The only thing that bothers me is that the Ford dealership has no clue to what part I was referring too. If I'm having problems finding this little part now what else am I to expect down the road? Good news is that they never stopped looking. I went there Wednesday to get my replacement ID sticker and they still had my broken tee there on the desk.

If Ford was no help with the tee, I'm thinking they will also think I'm nuts when I ask for the hoses "that don't come on a Mustang". Anyone find a substitute for the top hose, which is a hermaphrodite that is 1/4" on one end, and 3/8" on the other? I'd rather find a proper hose, rather than rig something up.
I found one of those hoses in the HELP section as well. I'll have to look and see if I bought it but I know I seen it. Now you got me thinking I should go get it if I didn't already.
