My 2001 BULLITT
As I looked through Craig's list yesterday, I noticed a 2001 BULLITT for sale in Virginia. As I read the ad, OMG! it was my 2001 #0159!
I sold the car as I remember in 2008 to a fellow in Virginia. It was registered on IMBOC. Evidently, the owner sold it to another Virginia resident but not registered to the new owner on IMBOC. Anyways, I was happy to see that my 2001 BULLITT has been pampered and high and dry since I sold it. The car now has 7300 miles on it. I bought the car from the original owner in Hanover, PA. At the time, it had about 2000 miles on it. It was a great car after I had the 1-2 grind fixed and a new fuel pump installed. When the 2008 came out, I sold it and bought a 2008. After a 2010 Shelby GT500 (Got that out of my system) , I now have a 2009 BULLITT... .. Again... ...nice to see my car was well taken care of over the years... ..I hope it stays that way with the next owner! ARMY TC |
Hmmm ARMY TC....could it be time to bring it home?
|
Yes, if I had the garage space, my old #0159 and a new 2019 would be a great addition to my 2009 B. However, living in a condo puts a cramp in my style...
.three cars and a two car garage stretches it now.
My wife knows how to limit my car adventures... Recently, condo is a swear word in my world... . ARMY TC |
My B #344 is sitting in the back of the garage right now as it needs a fuel pump. It only has 33,000 miles on it.

Ouch!!! I guess this was a common issue with the 2001 B's. Mine went out in the first few thousand miles. As I remember the fuel pump and fix knocked a big hole in $400. Maybe the price of the pump is less now...
..hope so for you!!!

A four post lift will fix that three cars in a two car garage problem.
Problem solved, now go buy your 01 back! There is nothing more satisfying than getting a car that you should have never sold back in your possession. Dont ask me how I know. |
I own 159 now and it is for sale. Heard from Army TC a few weeks ago. I used to own 5260 back in the day which was driven regularly. But 159 has been kept in a climate controlled garage since I owned it. It is still High and Dry after 4 owners believe it or not. Comes with a 2 inch binder of documentation about the car. It has the 1-2 grind fixed by Ford and I replaced the Fuel pump and filter recently. It needs a new home to someone that can appreciated what High and Dry means.

:D Oh my! You have flung a craving on Army TC! TEMPTATION TEMPTATION!!!!!
|
I sold my 01 out of town so I wouldn't ever run into it. :(
|
This was a great car...
...it had the best of care while in my possession. I sold 0159 to a fellow in Virginia, I live in Western Pennsylvania. I thought I would never see it again...
.but here we go!
I would love to have it back but as I said above... .a condo with little head room in the garage cancels a lift. At this point, I'm happy with my 2009, #6498. Now if someone would buy my 2009, a 2019/2020 may be in the future. My 2009 is green, clean, with around 13K miles on it... .one wet day in it's lifetime... . ARMY TC |
