History
Scott Hoag, formerly of Ford Motor Company and the lead for the 2001 Bullitt program, is the founder of the aftermarket company Mustang Racing Technologies (MRT). He rebuilt (or “reloaded”) my black 2001 Bullitt #1118 after it had been recovered from theft, stripped of parts and left with a destroyed engine. The original owner sold it to Scott, and it sat for a few years before MRT got it back into fighting shape. It was profiled in two “Muscle Mustangs and Fast Ford” articles back in 2007 as a showcase for MRT’s capabilities. Scott drove it for a while before selling to me in 2008. It’s been modified with a Paxton supercharger, custom braking system, suspension changes for road course or drag strip, and chassis stiffening.
