[FASTBULLITT]

My 01 will not go into gear while motor is running. I visually checked clutch cable (transmission to firewall, it's connected, not broke, but doesn't feel normal when I press down on it to engage clutch. This is the second clutch with about 100k miles on it. Original clutch cable.

Thoughts, suggestions?

can someone see if it moves when clutch is pushed in... did the clutch fork come off the pivot ball.

If you can engage the trans with the engine off, it's a clutch related problem, cable,? Clutch fork, ?? Good luck.

Several years ago, my 2001 all of a sudden wouldn't go into 1st gear. It would just grind. Turned out to be a broken synchro in the tranny.

This Bullitt "Cruise Around the Lake" was my most favorite of all. Your's was hard to beat though. I think all of the Northwest Bullittheads that participated in Bill's and my cruise around the lake memories will stay with them always as it was quite a memory maker with the Cobra R in the lead and Bill driving it. There were 13 Bullitts and 1 Cobra R and 1 Cobra R look-a-like in blue that participated.

Bill has recently passed away but we have our memories!
