SVT has the '03 Cobra specs and images up on their site. Observations:

*275s on 17x9 wheels and they look great!
*Sure looks like the concept Bullitt spoiler on the trunk lid.
*Side view mirrors are painted (I hate the cheap plastic black mirrors on Mustangs!)
*Are those side scoops lower profile than the stock GT scoops? Looks like it.

The car looks incredible! Wish I could afford one AND keep my Bullitt.

My thoughts on the new Cobra...

When I first heard it was coming I was trying to figure out a way to afford one. The closer it got to the first pictures coming out, the more I wanted it. Then when it finally debuted at the auto show, things changed. It was actually gonna get built, and for that I am happy. But it doesn't really do anything for me.

I am not terribly interested in the independent rear. I probably would not buy an Eaton supercharger. I don't really care for the wheels. I don't really like the spoiler. On top of that, it's elite status is gonna command a premium with most dealers. So where does that leave me? With a $35,000-$40,000 car with pieces I would not have used if building a 390hp Mustang myself.

As I said before, I'm glad they're building it. It only helps the breed. There will be a lucky few who get them and enjoy them for what they are.

When I saw the 2003 cobra first thing I notice is the wing
It is very very close to Bullitt proto and the rear Bumper cover
IS the same (save from COBRA letter) as the Bullitt proto
I agree 275-40-17 look really good on our cars
That’s the size I had on my 99GT all around
Guess if I find 17x9 Bullitt wheels that’s the size that will go on my Bullitt

The really neat thing is the there is a rear spoiler delete option offered. To bad you can't get rid of the ugly side scoops also. The new Motor Trend has a good article on the 03 Cobra.

Okay, its rough (and I couldn't get the color 100%), but here is the new Cobra hood on my Bullitt.

I want to see it for real before I decide.
