In 2008 the"charge motion control valves" were a separate plate on each side of the intake, and removable. In 2009 the CMCV's were integrated into the intake manifold and a slight tune change helped the mid range power, total horsepower remained the same.
Some people remove the CMCV's, replace them with spacers, and retune for top end power, with a loss in the bottom end. (No free lunch)
On the 2009's you would have to upgrade to the FP intake to eliminate the CMCV variable intake effect.
