Hello, everybody. pdq67 here.

I hang out over at Team Camaro b/c I have a '67SS/RS Camaro! Now you ask why would a First Gen. Camaro dude peek in at the Bullitt site?

I am installing the new, light gray centered Bullitt Mustang 17" wheels on my car by redrilling everything to the Mustang bolt pattern b/c I think the wheels are GREAT LOOKING!!! Mosers have already drilled everything for me!

And now I need a spare tire. What is a 17" Bullitt Mustang spare tire and rim selling for and where can I get one?

Thanks in advance. pdq67

Car - 496 BB, M20 four speed, 12 bolt posi-trac with 13" Vette and 11.75" Camaro disc brakes. Full poly, h-d springs and front and rear sway-bars and subframe connectors.

Hmmm I've heard of modifications but this one is new to me . Wouldn't it be less expensive to buy the spacer plate adapters to change the bolt pattern , instead of redrilling? That way if you decide you want to change them out later sell them, the resale value would still be there .

I looked into that and most over at T/C said they didn't like the adapters. I can still go back stock by just changing out the studs. I had to machine my drum brake hubs as well as my 12 bolt axles so the disc rotors would fit anyway, so they aren't stock now anyway. Then just redrilled the rotors.

I made homemade caliper brackets for the front to mount a single piston caliper and modified Cad. Sevelle rear brackets and e-brake calipers for the rear so I could mount the big disc's all the way around.

I guess what I am asking is , does anybody know of a boneyard that might have a Bullitt spare tire that I might get.

Or should I just buy one from FoMoCo? I am frugal and am trying to save some money, thats all. pdq67

The Bullit shipped with a bozo spare, and most of the Bullitts that I have seen wrecked look like all the rims are trashed. I have seen new rims for about $130 or so though. You could check Bullitt Hill and ask that question there as well though. Just in case there is one that made it though.

Sounds like a nice car your building up. Please do post some pics when your setup. Put them in the NADABullitt section. I know I would really like to see them. Or if you have a WEB site with photos post a link.

Good luck with your project.

I am going to run 1/2" spacers so figure my 1/2" studs will be adequate. The 1/4" that my rotors are adding to my b/s will put the Bullitt wheels at an installed 4.97" b/s dimension that I think will be fine or so many have said will work.

Tire fitment has been literally "beat to death" over at Team Camaro with respect to First Gen. Camaro's.

The guy's are always trying different wheels and tires as wll as always trying to fit the biggest, widest they can get under the cars b/c of some of the outrageous power levels some of the engines that are in them put out.

I'm looking at around 550hp at 5500rpm and 580t at 4500rpm out of my 496 so do understand the big rear tire thing.

I will post pic's when I get my car put together. My B-in-L has a digital camara so hopefully I can talk him into shooting it for me.

Thanks to all for the warm welcome and I have ta say, that I think the "Bullitt" car is to use another cleasay(sp?) "BOSS", but that name has already been hung on another "Pony"!!!

Ride em hard and put em up wet!! pdq67
