I talked to Art Hyde one day and he told me it would cost too much to tool up for the 18 inch wheels for the Bullitts just like the proto-type had.

What would it cost to tool up when they already make an 18 inch Bullitt wheel?

Just another one of Ford's bad excuses to me.

Hmmm... Unless he was refering to the autmation systems that install the wheels. Could be they are set for 17 inch wheels and moving to 18" wheels could cause all kinds of problems.

Just a though.

Take care.

could be but i dont see it being a major cost problem but being limited production maybe the cost per car was to much, still would have rather had the 18's

I'm going to replace the rims and tires on 227 once the tires are shot. Then I will put the 18" wheels on the car.

Take care.
