I'm very happy to announce that we are going to have our first meet this Saturday, November 17, at MGWLTD in Augusta. We will start at 12 noon, with pizza provided by our gracious host, George and MGW. He will also be giving us a tour of the facility, so we can see where their excellent products are made, and we will also be able to purchase products right there, and save some bucks on shipping and stuff. Thank you, George! After lunch, we can have a short club meeting with open discussion about the direction of the club, followed by plenty of time to admire and talk about our Bullitts. At 6pm, for those interested, we can take a short 10 minute trip to the local drag strip, and get some runs in on the track. I believe the cost is around $15 for as many runs as you can get in. If you have not run your Bullitt on the track, yet, let me tell you that it is an absolute blast!! I ran mine on 10/26, and it was something that I will never forget, or get out of my system, now, probably, lol. :smile: If anyone has a digital camera, please bring it with you, because this will be an historic event. I don't have one yet, spending too much on my Bullitt, I guess! I will bring a sample of our window decal that Travis had made, and I would like to get some feedback about that before I start getting them for our new member packs. If you would like to give me your $30 member dues Saturday, that would be fine, also.
We will be meeting in Atlanta at 10am to convoy down to Augusta, so let me know if you want to meet and drive with us. I think it will be awesome to see several Bullitts driving together, since it is rare to see even a single Bullitt on the road. I'm not sure where we will meet, yet, so if anyone has any ideas, please let me know. We will be taking I20 east, so somewhere near 20 would probably be best. Here are the directions from Atlanta:
Take I20 East, in the heart of Augusta it expands to 4 lanes, get into the far right lane which becomes the exit for Bobby Jones South(I520), follow 520 and take the Mike Padgett Hwy(56) exit, go right at the stoplight at the end of the exit ramp, go 5.1 miles to MGWLTD on the right. The address is 4159 Mike Padgett Hwy. If you have any problems, please call my cell phone 678-576-9980.
