If someone were just looking for the appearance of a black Bullitt without the performance upgrades, it would be a whole lot cheaper to order a stock, black, spoiler-delete GT and swap out the foglight grille for the Bullitt version.
The completely blacked-out grille without the chrome pony is really the biggest improvement of the new cars. Frankly, I kind of wish Ford had just offered Dark Highland Green across the board and made the blacked-out grille a no-cost, foglight delete option like the rear spoiler. Besides being a whole lot cheaper, it seems like it would have been more in keeping with the DIY aspect of the original version, too.
