Well, it's official. Ford will be simulcasting the reveal of the 2010 Mustang at the LA Auto Show to about 10 locations around the country. MCA clubs have been asked to host the event which will be at large venues for about 200 people. The cities that I know of that will be hosting the event are Atlanta (Tara Mustang Club will host), Houston, and Boston. I should be able to get additional details at my next club meeting next week on Nov. 6th. Check with your local MCA club for details on the event in your area.

There is going to be a display of 45 Mustangs at the unveiling of the 2010, one for every year.
2001 will be a Bullitt.

So,what's the deal? People in the Mid-Atlantic area don't buy Mustangs anymore!!
Is anything about the 2010 going to be really any different, than 2009,other than a modest styling change?
How about some real Horsepower improvements, for less than $40,000!
How long have we been stuck at 281 cubic inches now??
No jumpin' carrots here!

IMHO, with Ford's stock in the toilet we are lucky this even happened. When it was first brought up, the clubs were supposed to host, plan, and manage the event at a flashy venue. Now it looks like the event was reduced to a shoestring budget. They probably selected the markets that buy the highest volume of Mustangs and are the most likely target markets for the 2010 model. The guy who drove the wrapped up 2010 model in the videos is in our club, and he described it as an enhanced 2005-2009. The drive train and performance details have yet to be revealed.

Just saw this in the news feed:

Ford left Mustang fans worldwide hanging yesterday with a delay in the 2010 Mustang teaser image release, but we were able to grab hold of the new pony car's latest sexy shot and make sure you got your eyes on this one. After seeing a limited amount of exterior photos (the hood and front fender), we finally get our sights set on the rear of the 2010 Mustang. From this photograph's perspective, we can see the updated rear end, the new ducktail spoiler, and the smoothed taillight bezel. The retro three-pillar design is still present, but the assembly seems to be styled to fit more in line with the rear bumper. With just over a week until the official debut at the LA Auto Show, we are excited to see the unveiling. Stay tuned, as we'll bring you some of the hottest official images available and quite possibly, a behind-the-scenes look from the Show.

So far from what I see I am awful glad I didn't wait for a '10 model.

I think Ford was planning on a 6L engine with and without variable valve train, you know the 8-6-4, It fell pray to the price of a barrel of oil, it was originally refereed to as the Hurricane engine but Katrina came and went, then the name was changed to the BOSS. copy this link

Yeah, I've seen that before.

I would have loved to see something like that in the Mustang. In fact, I still think our B's should have come with a tuned up 5.4 4V, even that would have been a big improvement - then we really would have put those SRT-8's to shame.
