Still in the planning stages? I have every intention of attending Chino Hills and the Boys Republic event. Once we get solid dates, I'll put it on the calendar and make the hotel reservations...

Put me down as attending with Mary Elaine! By way of the Chicago to LA viaduct (aka Rt. 66)! ;-)
I will be there...

I have been in on doing the Rt. 66 extravaganza and the show since announced.:dhg01:

You bet and there WAS a perfect 1968 SFPD Ford patrol car restored in California but it was sold to a gentleman in....Denmark! :irked:

How cool would it be to have this one at the show? We do know how to contact the owner but a long shot indeed. The ambo would be easier, how about Duvall's cab or Chalmers' limo too?
The Caddy? wasn't that a hearse? The ambulance was a IH panel truck, outside the hotel. The squad cars were an unmarked brittany blue 67 Custom 500 (used to visit Chalmers house at the start of the movie), and a white custom 300 (IIRC) in the basement garage.

Maybe a Green beetle would be in order....
Ordered on T-shirt and one dinner! ;-)

Thank you Bret!
Mine are in the Bullitt, and have been for the past 2 days. :D

I got the award for traveling the farthest. I think that's because my trip from L.A. to Chicago involved dipping south to visit Terry and Bobby in Franklin, TN and then to Cleveland, where I visited Jim Bob as well as two of my cousins. I put on over 3000 miles getting to Chicago.

I'm got a whole story to tell about this adventure. Sorry I haven't posted more about it so far, but juggling being on the Legend Lives Tour with my car show committee responsibilities (bringing the "Alcatraz" people to the show) kept me real busy.

To think I broke 3K miles the entire trip.......

David... maybe you didn't travel the farthest, but I'll never forget the care and attention you took to keeping the celebration cake cool for the run from Holbrook to Seligman! Putting it on the passenger side floor (with A/C on) and covering it with your window sun shield worked perfectly... as the results showed...

Thanks!

No problem, I wasn't about to waste a good idea! Besides, I love cake!
He handed that information off to Cathy, the school "manager?". She was in charge of doing those up. Currently, IIRC, she is closing out all the show's business. Maybe next week?
Same here, every single Bullitt! ;-)
