My wife drives a 2002 Black Mazda Protege (Ford owns part of Mazda, so it's kindof a Ford). I think I'll order her some Bullitt badging so our cars will match better. I like the sound of that: "Mazda Protege Bullitt".

Bummer. Just asked my wife if I could put Bullitt badging on her car. Her respone: "Nooo. (Scowl). It's not a Bullitt. Thats like wearing a fake Rolex".

Yes, I was just kidding, but I did ask her seriously to see how she would react.

Maybe it's just ME but when I see something like that I just cringe...I mean it's like "people, that is NOT a Bullitt" and it just makes them look "stupid" to me to have that crap (sorry) all over their car saying "BULLITT" when it's NOT a Bullitt and never will be a Bullitt! Grrrr, sorry, just letting off steam but it looks so tacky and ridiculous on there....it's NOT a Bullitt! I don't like that Mustang to begin with but to put the name Bullitt on it...well, to me...that's degrading!!

Well Dona...I agree. If you look up stupid moron in the dictionary you will see a picture of that Mustang with the lucky owner behind the wheel. He probably drives down the road with his blinker on all the time.

I hate it when people make fakes too, but to tell you the truth, it looks really good with those rims.

You have to admit the car is pretty sharp looking with the silver paint and Bullitt wheels. I think his theme was "Silver Bullet", not necessarily a Bullitt wannabe. It's probably no worse than people adding Cobra emblems to their non-Cobra's. Hey, how about the Bullitt representing a sleeper type of Mustang; slightly modified, improved handling (lowered), good low/mid range torque, improved brakes, great exhaust sound and no spoilers? Ours will still be the original Bullitt concept.

One of my employees just bought an Audi TT, I'm trying to get him to put Porsche badges all over it, that will surely turn it into a Porsche!!

Well....if he was going for the Silver Bullet look, maybe he should have put some Coors emblems on it????

Not a bad looking Mustang...but...gotta agree with what Dona said...

(ever notice how impossible it is to spell bullet that way now???) b u l l i t t

Wierd, but I'm OK with this one. It's not riced out. Actually, a nice looking LX. My favorite body design of the '90s Fox series. Wheels are relatively clean and understated. Bullitt badging is nearly seamless with the silver paint. And really, the theme he selected is the sincerest form of flattery.

I wouldn't take points off for originality, unless it looks like crap.

That's what I was thinking 6treva9!!! (BTY-Nice sig !) If someone wants to get the rims or paint their calipers or get a shifter ball that's fine with me, but don't put the BULLITT badges on the car!!!!
As for not making a real Bullitt in silver, might have been because of the ref with Coors Light.
