What do you guys think of the hood? I found a really good deal on one and am thinking about picking it up. Anyone else running one? If so I would like some pics. I like the lines of the hood, its nice a simple. Very clean imo.

Personally, I am not fond of the 99 hood. I do like the 03-04 Terminator twin vent hood on the Bullitt however. It's more in keeping with the Bullitts' theme, commemorating the original 68 movie car. 8) Just my $.02. If you like the 99 hood over what you have, or any other by all means. Buy the hood! ;-)
I have an Electric Green one in my garage that needs to be painted.
I like the '03 Cobra hood, too, but I couldn't have gotten one for $75 like I got the '99 Cobra hood for. Also, I don't like the gap the '03 hood leaves at the top of the grill.
I say get it. The Bullitt's all about the clean lines, and the Cobra hood will smooth it out even more. I'm waiting to pull the trigger on the '99 Cobra bumper, too.
The '99 cobra hood is on the '04 V6's. I can post up the pic's if you need me too.
A good price would be $50 as they did come on the V6 cars. I'm in the process of looking for one myself. Been going on for over 2 years. TB is harder to find.

Not seen one on a Bullitt yet. I say give it a go if your are tempted.
If you don't like it then it is a bolt on item and you can switch back.
The original car didn't have a scoop. Neither do the new 08-09 Bullitts. I'd love to get my hands on an 04 V6 hood and paint it, it will add to the car's understated look.

Well said
I agree with this

I will add though, of any parts borrowing from a 99 Cobra, it should be the front bumper. I know that if I ever have a reason or desire to swap the front bumper out on 1986, it will be for a 99 Cobra one for sure!
I may do it if I ever get the front end repainted. Probably won't ever just buy it and stick it on exclusively though.
oh i will be admit the 03/04 cobra hood is for sure the way to go but 1) its alot more expensive and 2) it dont care for the gap between the hood and the bumper after the mod. Well would you guys agree 100 is too much for the hood? I will also have to pay for 65 shipping and then paint it... I dont know. Thats what you guys are for :)

Too much if you have to paint in my opinion.
Brian, I have seen them go for free to $50. Just have to keep looking. You'll find one.

You have got a V6 hood under the fake scoop, not an 04 but that would be understated
just take off the fake scoop and fill the holes, a lot cheaper than a new hood.
Not understated just horrible

I thought this was a post about a 2001 BULLITT owner wanting a new hood and wondering
what it would look like and our thoughts on his project, not selling his car for a 68
made to look like a car in a movie, or selling his fine 2001 BULLITT for a 2008/9 rethink.

What original car? He has an original 2001 BULLITT
