my a/c clutch is loose and is causing a wierd noise i think one of the bushings is worn out does anyone know how to fix or do i need to buy a whole new a/c clutch unit :dhg01:

You can change the clutch out.

A bad bearing will make noise when the AC is OFF, because this is when the bearing turns, and go quiet again when the AC is on.

Oil from a leaky shaft seal can also get on the clutch plates and make it slip and catch when it turns on. Tends to chew up the clutch surfaces. You can watch it when it turns on, it should just start turning and match the pulley speed, if you see it kind of stop and start then the clutch is slipping.

New clutch kit should come with a screw that you put in and to force the clutch plate off.
IF the manufacture reworks the clutch magnetic coil then you MAY have to remove that also, watch how the connection lines up they do not come on and off that easy. (press fit).
