Hello everyone. while some people are preparing to put their bullitts away for the winter we here in Florida are spending our time tracking our cars and cleaning off the dead love bugs, Today I went over to Historical Sebring raceway and spent the day in 3130. did a session and had a couple misses in the car and then a few laps later it was gone. the second session nothing everythng ran great and pushed the Bullitt a little harder. She responded well and had a great session. Found on the first lap my tire pressure got up to 39 lbs when i came in. lowered the pressure and second session much better. then we had lunch. coming back for the third session Rick's RTR had some issues and i got out my TimSpeed Scanner and we found that it threw 10 codes. speed sensor, cam sensor bank one and cam sensor bank 2. so he was done for the day... then the next session i jump in 3130 and the dreaded Service Engine Soon light comes on, so i my trusty scanner out, (thank you TIMSPEED) and scan3130 to find this.
So i message Brian Pearson and check online to see what is Coil H. found out it was number 8 and look in my bag of tricks and i have a spare Coil. thanks to the Serpent so changed out the Coil and cleared the code and all is good. during this time a Mach hits the wall at turn one so he is next to u fixing his car to go back out. he is in our group and already passed me in a sketchy spot. so i ended my day there and proudly drove my Bullitt home. By the way Bill Hurlbut i moved up to intermediate and they were passing with no point by.but only on the straight aways. well i am sure you know how that goes.. passing everywhere.... but i survived and had fun.
So Tim over at TimSpeed you saved my day thank you......
A bullitt in the dark ready to go..
