Just got the Whipple on my '03 Cobra. I went from 450 rwhp / 460 ft lbs tq..... to 570 rwhp / 540 ft lbs of tq. I'm still running through my restrictive stock 4 cat H pipe (for now). Here are the parts I just had installed and tuned...

Whipple 2.3L
3.0 Whipple blower pulley
SCT MAF
60lb fuel injectors
Twin Ford GT fuel pumps, and driver module
JLT RAI
Evenflow Gen 2 head cooling mod

You know, that sounds pretty great! And no doubt the power must be awesome! And even though the Whipple's whine is pretty subdued at lower RPM's, I just could not stand having the combination of the sounds of my engine revs with the .08's tuned exhaust, being drowned out by a belt/charger whine. Guess I'm a natural breather. :neutral:

What makes the whine? Back in my Lotus DOHC 16V days, if the cam belt whined, it was too tight. Is the whine from the belt? Or the twin screws? Or the forced air? Wish it didn't make that sound... Takes away from the 'hot rod' sound.

In my opinion, that 'whine' adds to the 'hot rod' sound.

I actually wish my Kenne Bell unit was louder than it actually is.
