I remember my 'ole 65 mustang. Just grab the distrubter and twist a bit for timming advance and a 1/2 turn on a screw and the mixture was a little leaner!

Is there a product that allow you to change both the mixture and timmming on our cars? Can these both be changed with a chip? Do I need to just buy a Steeda timming advancer ($170) and the MAFterburner ($300). Both of these sound pretty pricey for what they do!

Okay I checked out the Hypertech programmer.. on a 2001 Ford Must it allows you to modify the following:

Eng. Tuning = interesting, timming and mixture? How?
Rev Limiter = No thanks, pretty happy with 6100
Shift Pts. = hmm..
Shift Firm = (2) hmm...
Top Speed = (3) hmm....
Tire/Gear = Okay saves about 100 bucks on a speed cal

So the product is $300. Take off the $100 for correcting for gear/tire change and you are left with a $200 box that only offers engine tunning.

$200 for complete control of the timming and mixture would be a good deal.. basicly a chip you can change when ever you want.

One more thing.. what the hell do they mean by "Dual Fuel" and why do the Crown vics with the 4.6 get it and the mustangs don't?
