I know that this is an old topic, but I wonder if this really is too restrictive. I also wonder if it would be possible to mount the pony to the gril and still have it look good. They are only $40 + shipping.

Well I just found one of my answers. Yes, it can be mounted to the gril. But I still wonder if it is too restrictive.

BTW, the now have the 99-02 ones.

Funny Travis. I even tried the link. :lol: I may actually do that since all of these grills are so expensive. I know that MidLifeCrisis made something similar.

Karl, that's the grill I was going to get until I saw yours. I am completely satisfied with the KarKraft grill and it installed within 15 minutes using the top four push pins as the OEM grill (saying this for the others). It also covers the holes left by the bottom attachment points for the OEM grill. I chose not to put the included black decal over the holes since they really don't show up. My price was $89.00 plus I think $8.50 shipping from KarKraft direct. California Mustang wants $129.95 for the same grill. All you guys have to do is remove the running pony for the clean look like we have...
