As everyone knows, 5w 20 is called for in our 4.6's.... and I e-mailed Mobil, and as of right now, they have to plans of 5w 20 synthetic. I'm using Mobil 1 5w 30 with really no worries...what's everyone else using?

I have about 60 quarts of various Mobil 1 oils sitting in my shop. Everytime I get ready to change the Bullitt over, I read some thread on some BBS talking about "oh no, you must use 5w-20", that makes me reconsider. One day I am just gonna throw it in, to hell with it! I have used Mobil 1 for 11 years in just about everything.

Well, if I was just tooling around town, I'd probably go with Valvoline 10W40 full synthetic but with open track racing the car will see, I will go with 20W50.

The Valvoline synthetic is an excellent oil btw.

Mobil 1. I don't think it makes a hill of beans difference between 20/30 especially with synthetics.

I just changed the oil and used Mobil 1 5W30. The Bullitt seems to like the oil. Seems to run a little quieter, not the exhaust just the ticking and such coming from the engine.
