I've seen this discussion a million times on the MW boards, but I'm curious if any Bullitt owners have the Pro 5.0 instead of the Tri-Ax?

The only reason I'm considering it is because I have a $100 credit at a performance shop (returned 40 series Flowmasters that I was going to put on my '96 GT) and they have a special on the Pro 5.0, so I can get it at a pretty good price. The Tri-Ax is my first choice (he has a call in to Steeda for a price... if I didn't have this credit, I'd be on the group purchase  ), but in case he comes back way too high (>$200), I wanted some opinions on the Power Tower. BTW, I have driven a '95 GT with a Power Tower, so I'm somewhat familiar with the shifter. I'm looking for comparisons. Thanks a bunch everyone.

I've had two Pro 5.0 units before and liked them both. The only drawback to them is the noise/slight vibration they transmit into the cab. Being they are solid, they tend to funnel transmission noises into the cab. But, its worth it.........In my 97 Cobra, it was like night and day over the stock shifter. Ford might as well made it out of rubber, since it shifted like it was. The two-piece design with the rubber spacer was useless.

I had a Steeda Tri-Ax. Sold it to another Bullithead and put a Pro 5 TR 3650 in. The Pro 5 is quieter than the Steeda. However, the Steeda handle is better than the Pro 5. A Pro 5 with a MGW handle is hard to beat. I just like how Pro 5s feel. They feel more precise or some would say on the notchy side. But that's my preference.
