The clear plastic cover over by gauges is scratched-up. Was delivered to me that way and I was going to take it to a local dealer to have fixed, but after all the horror stories I am reading about Ford Svc. right now, I'd just as soon do it myself.

It would appear to be fairly simple to replace. However, for those that have put-on a gauge bezel, are there any particulars I need to know? Tricks, warnings, etc.....

This is a very easy mod. Basically like 10 screws. Take off head light knob. 2 screws up top. snap the black plastic frame off. unscrew the 4 holding the gauges on. disconnect both wiring harnesses. swithch them out. put back together. I had never done one and it took me 15 minutes.

All I need to change is the clear plastic lens, that is scratched. Can this be done without removing the pod?

I changed my bezel without removing the cluster..I used a flexible screwdriver with the bit in the end and a 1/4 inch drive ratchet to get mine out..it is really easy..

CRS2879 I sent you a PM before I read this post. Anyway, as has already been stated it is very easy to replace the plastic cover. Just follow all the instructions in the PM and replace with new cover once the old is taken off. You should be able to get a replacement for $25-$35.00
