OK folks,

Had a member PM me with an idea for the BULLITT Store so here goes...

The suggestion was to offer authentic 1968 Detective Lieutenant SFPD badges with our car numbers for badge numbers. After careful scrutiny of the movie, I was able to get a pic of an actual badge being flashed when the witness answers the door and meets Frank and his boys for the first time.

Also, I was able to find this actual circa 1968 SFPD Detective Sergeant badge on-line to give you an idea what it would look like. Just picture the word "Lieutenant" instead of Sergeant and picture YOUR CAR NUMBER in the center.

I have a MFG who makes REAL badges for police departments. Since SFPD doesn't use this shield any more, I don't think it would be a problem.

These badges look to be about $60 or so (based on others he has for sale)

We can modify this anyway we want.

One option might be to put "BULLITT" on the bottom rocker instead of SF Police.

Feedback?

Just because I told you I was a patch collector, now you've gone and done it. A novel idea indeed, but not sure how many others besides me collect police badges and patches. $50 to $60 is the going rate for new badge orders, so this is about right. I hadn't even thought of this! Well, this could be taking it a bit far...but, I would be interested.

I thought it was a novel idea myself.

If you all haven't figured it out yet, I like to provide the best quality items I can. I could provide some "less expensive" items as well if folks want that.

Maybe he'll give us a discount for multiple orders.

Also, for the real BULLITT collector, you can have the badge suspended in Lucite which makes for a nice desktop display item for your BULLITT collection.

I know the cops on this site will probably provide me with some good feedback.

And we wonder why they called us "Bullitt Geeks"??!!!

Cool Wade. Not sure I can justify the cost, but VERY cool.

I like thge idea of the Bullitt # inthe middle and the word "Bullitt" at the bottom. It makes it a nice mix between the car and the movie.

Ah hell, I'll get one.

Mike

Oh MAN! I LOVE that, but I can't afford it...no way! I'd have to sell a ton of soap to pay for it!!!

It is a totally cool idea though, I love it!

I like the badge. Just something else I'll have to buy. I'm going to have to put an addition on the house to fill with all the Bullitt stuff! :-B
