Yes. This is a rant.
I've been driving a rental Chevy Cavalier for the last week. Its an automatic so its even another notch of suck.
On the 10th, I left my car with the body shop to take out the 'lot scratches' and the dent they put in the fender. I almost expected the car to be ready Friday when I got the call.
Except the bodyshop guy forgot to call service to install the parts.
It'll be Monday. Right.
Monday afternoon- I call. All they have to do is install the center console where the parking brake hit and rubbed a spot. The boot was ruined as well.
The circus, I mean service shop said the wrong part had been ordered. The console didn't include the ebrake boot.
Now I really wouldn't have minded what had been going on until this point except the advisor said one thing...
"Well... its a bad design. They all do it. Even my 1995 Mustang does that."
That says to me, half-ss is good enough.
I will say that the NewCar Sales GM has been helpful. He's paying for the rental car and does what he says.
